This study aimed to add data in the field of literature through analysis and exploration of contemporary Bikol osipon. The study analyzes the Archetypes in contemporary Bikol osipon in the book, Hagong. An Anthology of 22 Bikol osipon written by Bikolnon writers in terms of characters, characteristics, themes, symbols and imagery. The study adopted qualitative research through textual analysis of archetypes in contemporary Bikol osipon. The study revealed the following findings: (1) The contemporary Bikol osipon in the books Hagong consist of 20 osipon and was written by 18 Para-osipon. Para-osipon used different languages such as Bikol Central, Bikol Rinconada and Bikol Albay. They also adopt different stylistics in writing the osipon such as Alluding to the epic Ibalon, Fable, Anthropomorphism, Epistolary, Use of symbolism, New Journalism, Stream of Consciousness/ Tagubhang and the usual narration. (2) Archetypes in terms of characters includes Dakulang Tawo, Ina, Deboto, Katuod, Daraga, Ama, Parasurat, Amoritis, Hero, Hade, Sadit na Tawo, and Amay Nailo. (3) Archetypes in terms of characteristics includes Madiskarte, Paralansi, Isog, Masinaray, Paslo, Sumbikalan, Dunong, Makasadiri and Orag. (4) Archetypes in terms of themes are Kusog Boot, Girumdom, Hadit, Pagtubod, Racism, Untok, Sakripisyo, Rokyaw, Pag makulog, Tios, Kawarang Hustisya and Muot. (5) Archetypes in terms of symbols includes Senyas, Tarom, Inang Penafrancia and Lunadan. (6) Archetypes in terms of imagery includes Surat, Suratan, Lawas and Luma.
