The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the creation of new vaccines against the virus, which has elicited various responses at both individual and collective levels regarding their application. Despite the existence of scientific evidence, there is still rejection on the grounds that these vaccines are in the testing process, or there are those who deny the need for their application. As a result, we developed a multi-country project (Mexico, Brazil, United States, Peru, India, Israel, Colombia) based on the methodology of comparative case studies to identify attitudes and perceptions towards the COVID-19 vaccine. We decided to delve into individual perceptions guiding the acceptance, rejection or hesitancy of the COVID-19 vaccine. We took the theory of social representations and the 3C's model of vaccination acceptance as our framework. We believe that the case study will help us delve deeper and recognize possible commonalities among the considered cases. Specifically, we will present findings related to participants in Mexico, who underwent in-depth interviews to understand their perceptions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and various dimensions surrounding the pandemic.
