Abstract:
Indian Sub-Continent is acknowledged as the bearer of great and rich civilization that abounds in intellectual and artistic endeavour. Since ages Bharat, that is India has been diversified very culturally, geographically, linguistically, spiritually and ethnically, has a lot to reveal. This diversity is vibrantly and visibly displayed through Museums in India and abroad, that are permanent institution towards the service of society. It is a place where numerous incredible valuables of Indian origin in the form of art, artefacts, weapons, tangible and intangible objects etc are collected, conserved, interpreted and exhibited to foster diversity and sustainability.
In India there are almost 14201 museums of varied nature at present that actually showcase the rich cultural heritage of Indian values, but the number of tribal museums is meagre
The present study focuses on the very essence of our ethic domain and the people associated, depicting the very soul of the Indian soil, kept preserved in museums, so that the present and future generations can attain insights of our incredible and rich heritages, thus playing a pivotal role in an individual’s life.
