The University of Brasília was built from an entire construction - modernist conception of an intellectual class committed to the modes of in- telligentsia that pretentiously positions itself as a spokesperson for the interests national in one country what supposedly sought your own identity. Among this group, a criticism of the civiliza model had already been inserted - thorium European what if imposed per one model technologically advance - of subordination and domination who systematically destroyed the cultural matrices of southern peoples in favor of a development model linked to dependence. Thus a generation of intellectuals represented at figure in Darcy Ribeiro elaborate one criticism against what they call “historical updating” or “acceleration evolutionary” (RIBEIRO, D. 1975).
This article discusses, from an intersectional perspective, the problematic in the contradiction of the modernist project of a Brazilian university that is faced with its colonial roots. As a result, they manifest an incidence of physical and mental illness, increasing the of school dropout and, faced with a multifactorial situation, they eventually commit suicide. The text follows a narrative based on information from PNAES, INEP da SANDIFFS, good as interviews with servers It is with students about your expectations ahead The permanence student.
