Drawing on the premise that feminist anthropology has significantly shaped the associative politics of global anthropology over the past five decades, this presentation aims to explore the political ramifications of feminist anthropologists assuming leadership roles within anthropology associations. Employing methodologies including data collection, interviews, and trajectory analyses of feminist anthropologists, I will assess the influence of their presence and political engagements in contemporary anthropology. Specifically, I will closely examine the representation of women in leadership positions within the Brazilian Association of Anthropology (ABA) and select Latin American associations.
