in this presentation I will analyse the relation between sociocultural change and fieldwork in three case studies that I carried out in Mexico. These works took place in the center and south areas of the country. The approach is from a global perspective, associated with different methods of field work, like for example ethnography in situ and mobile The cases have something in common: they tackle the question of how human beings transforms and uses nature. But each one has its proper theoretical and methodological approach. Even though the cases will allow me to compare similarities and differences between them. In Tlaxcala I studied social change in the industry and agriculture (Ytuarte, 2000). In north Chiapas I studied the production, distribution and circulation of a merchandise (Ytuarte, 2014); and in the coast of the state and southern boarder I am studying a conglomerate of economic activities. (Ytuarte 2014, 2022, 2023). The comparison of the cases will contribute to the discussion between theory and method.
