Community members in Sub-Saharan Africa widely consult traditional health practitioners, often before seeking any biomedical remedy. Research in South Africa shows that about 80% of the population utilises traditional healing/medicine. This is either in parallel with biomedicine, alternatively, or concurrently. The purpose of this Lekgotla is to gain a better understanding of traditional health practices in South Africa. One can learn from their perspectives and approaches to healthcare by meeting with traditional health practitioners from South Africa. This Lekgotla will consist of a panel of traditional health practitioners from South Africa and will be held at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. This gathering provides an opportunity to hear the voices of traditional health practitioners on healthcare, issues that are important to them, and the role of traditional healthcare practitioners in the community. This discussion can facilitate an increased understanding of traditional health practitioners and potential collaboration between traditional health practitioners and biomedical practitioners. Keywords:
