The US National Science Foundation has a long history-going back to the 1950s-of supporting methods training in cultural anthropology. The current iteration of this support includes the launch in 2024 of the NSF-supported CAMP-International-a virtual space for all anthropologists-academic and applied-around the world to study and to teach research methods via workshops and online lectures. The online methods curriculum currently includes teaching materials (including over 60 lectures) on: Ethical research, Data Management, Sample Design , Indigenous Methods, Participatory Methods, Decolonizing Methods, Linguistic Methods, Cross-cultural Methods, Qualitative Data Analysis, Relational Data Analysis, Ecological Methods, Medical/Psychological Biocultural Methods, and Gender Analysis. In this roundtable, we reflect with our partners on the promise and possibilities of the CAMP International. Colleagues and students of anthropology are invited to join our growing community of practice (currently with 700+ members, world-wide).
